Santos Miller & Associados, Lda. was first established in Mozambique in 2004 under the name of MozAssist, Lda. As the service portfolio of Mozassist grew vertically and horizontally over the years, it lead to the need of establishing Santos, Miller & Associados, Lda. as a dedicated organisation to deliver financial and accounting related services.

Staff
The SMA staff structure consists of Senior Accountants, Trainee Accountants and Support Staff. The Senior Accountants are responsible for client management, supervision of accounts, compliance to statutory accounting and taxation requirements, issuing of reports and overall account management in line with the SMA quality framework. The Trainee Accountants perform data capturing and initial analysis, offering assistance to the Senior Accountants, while the Support Staff members are responsible for delivering and collecting documentations as required.
Clients
Typically, prospective Clients approach SMA by referral, in order to initiate or complete company registrations and formation activities. Ranging from restaurants to IT to advertising, SMA caters for the individual needs of each Client. The SMA Client base consists of private individuals, sole traders, limited liability companies and foreign-listed companies with subsidiaries in Mozambique. At circa 70%, the vast majority consist of limited liability companies mainly with foreign shareholding.
